It’s natural…

Global warming is a fact.  Global cooling is a fact.  But global warming caused by man-made carbon dioxide is not a fact (a fact being absolute truth).  Earth’s conditions continue to change because of constant cosmological and geological functioning. The earth precesses (wobbles on its axis) and its poles shift.  Temperatures change.  Sunspots affect conditions on earth; recent studies show that the sun’s activity affects the formation of certain clouds (water vapor), which themselves affect climatic conditions.  Plate tectonics move entire continental masses, and sub-sea rifting and volcanoes affect ocean currents and temperatures world-wide.  Earth is not a static entity—it’s dynamic, constantly changing, and it’s big.   Conditions on earth and in its atmosphere change as well—they must.

I have no idea who wrote this about President Trump’s lack of decorum, dignity, and statesmanship.  It came to me via the internet through a friend.  It is presented here slightly edited and shortened:

Friends often ask me if I’m not bothered by Donald Trump’s lack of decorum. They ask if I don’t think his tweets are “beneath the dignity of the office.”

We on the right have tried dignity.  There could not have been a man of more quiet dignity than George W. Bush as he suffered the outrageous lies and politically motivated hatreds that undermined his presidency.

We tried statesmanship. Could there be another human being on this earth who so desperately prized “collegiality” as John McCain?

We tried propriety – has there been a nicer human being ever than Mitt Romney?

And the results were always the same. This is because,

Conservatism is not a political issue, nor is what follows intended to be a political statement.  It’s more basic than that.  The foundation for conservatism is history and original intent—a return to the basics, ethics being the most basic.  Anyone can do it.

There’s nothing mysterious about it…

Any society needs a system of rules within which its members can operate to the general benefit. These rules are founded in its values and articulated in its privileges.  The rules of all successful societies including our own begin in ethics and are adapted to the society’s needs and wishes.

Our own rules trace their origin to a paramount need for freedom.  Our laws are founded in a Declaration of Independence from our mother country and empowered by a Constitution written by individuals with a strong ethical and moral base “in order to form a more perfect union.”

Racist!  An epithet guaranteed to raise hackles on both sides of the accusation.  Racism has come to mean ‘whites’ demeaning ‘blacks’ or other groups, a definition worthy of political correctness.

It’s common knowledge that 90-percent of ‘blacks’ voted for Barack Obama in 2012.  That bell-curve is skewed ‘way beyond any reasonable statistical degree of probability known to mankind.  Is it possible that blacks voted for Obama simply because he is black?  Of course it is, and that was clearly the case.  This is a classic example of racism, but is

it called such?  Of course not.  That would be politically incorrect.

The infamous OJ Simpson trial is another case in point.  Simpson was clearly guilty of murder—he admitted it—but was found innocent.  The verdict was racially motivated, another case of racism.  But it

TRUTH: Let’s Get Metaphysical…

Fundamentals (like Truth) can’t be perfectly defined. They must remain at least in part idea, awareness, perception, theory—because they are principles: the source, not product, of definition.

True and Truth are often confused. “I think Bob is stupid” may be true, but the Truth is that Bob may be in fact very smart.  True is an adjective, Truth is a noun.  Truth is, in fact, an absolute—a first principle—indisputable.  Like the Universe—nature itself—everything requires truth to even be (exist) in the first place.  (This means that truth must have preceded even the Universe.) True is a mere modifier with an opposite—false.  Don’t confuse it with truth.  Truth has no opposite, only an absence of itself.

But the concept (of Truth) has to be articulated to some degree so that we can deal

DRAINING THE SWAMP:  Making America Great Again

We’re off! And the Trump Administration is gaining altitude as we speak.

Listen to the Man…

After considerable initial turbulence The Administration is on its promised way. Once the entire system is staffed and running, things will only improve. It’s clear that we have a President that means what he says, unlike many of his political forebears. Appointees in place are in command of their positions, and Trump is making good on his promises to Make America Great Again. Showing muscle in Syria has made a positive impression on most of the Free World, and the Mother Of All Bombs has impressed the proletariat elsewhere. Getting other nations on board should be easier now, and look for the economy to improve significantly over the next few months (and thenceforth…)

And the opposition has been quelled to some degree by the appointment of
