ETHICS and THE TRUTH ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE – One More Time

THE TRUTH ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE

imagesCAQHFTNPThe evidence against significant ‘global warming’ due to mankind’s activities is beginning to get overwhelming.  Why?  Because the agency that started it all back in 2007 (IPCC, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, on which AlGore based his convenient lie) is revising their earlier predictions.  Seems they “dramatically overemphasized the impact of anthropogenic (man-made) climate change.”  (How many times have we told you this?)  A new report will reconcile the incorrect measurements used to calculate temperature changes in its previous reports.

This revelation follows new (overwhelming) evidence of global cooling with an increase in polar pack ice and a concomitant increase in sea ice.  Reports Climate Depot’s Marc Morano: “As a long observer of the (IPCC/AlGore) global weather movement, I can say that the events of 2013 (have) been one of the most devastating to the movement.

ETHICS ISSUES: POLITICS and POLITICAL ETHICS

ETHICS, POLITICS, and TRUTH

After 2500 years politics is still in need of virtuous men.  From Plato to The Enlightenment, ethics (originally conceived in the political sense) was correctly identified with virtue. It seems that Plato (and Aristotle) had issues with politicians even then.  Things haven’t changed much in the ensuing years.  The aforementioned ‘enlightened’ have slowly eroded the original idea of virtue to the point where tradition itself was thrown under the bus and the very idea of ethics became increasingly incoherent.  Today, a ‘nice’ person with ‘good intentions’ may believe himself ethical.  Know this: Making it easier to be ethical by changing the definition of ethics is fraudulent and unethical in itself.

Since the beginning, truth remains the root of ethics.  ‘Good intentions’ do not necessarily lead to ethical decisions. Ethics is not about feeling or even doing—it’s about being,

ETHICS in GOVERNMENT

IS OUR GOVERNMENT ETHICAL? TRUSTWORTHY?

You decide…

Barack Obama came out of nowhere to campaign for (and win) the Presidency on the strength of promises made and a talent for rhetoric.  His qualifications for the position were minimal, (a matter of record), but apparently America was ready for a black President and gave him a pass on that basis.  About 90% of blacks voted for him.  So did many whites—racial discrimination was not a factor (remember, only about 13-percent of the population is black).  It was noted that “…47 percent of the people…will vote for (him), no matter what …(They) pay no income tax,  are dependent upon government…(and) believe the government has a responsibility to care for them…(and) that they are entitled to health care, food, and housing.”  Robbing Peter to pay Paul will always get the enthusiastic support of Paul.

The President was

ETHICS and POLITICAL CORRECTNESS – RACE

RACIAL PROFILING:  IS RACE AN ISSUE?  YOU DECIDE…

The following statements, many of them courtesy of Jason Riley of the Wall Street Journal (July 16, 2013), are true and can be corroborated by even the most cursory of research.

This from the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Junior in 1961:  “…Negroes are 10% of the population of St. Louis and are responsible for 58% of its crimes…We’ve got to face that…We know that there are many things wrong in the white world, but there are many things wrong in the black world, too…There are things that we must do for ourselves.”

Dr. King’s statement makes a divisive reference to ‘white world’ and ‘black world, thereby providing a perfect segue into the following (ethical, if not politically-correct) statements based on race:

Blacks still represent about 13% of the national population, yet in

ETHICS ISSUES: GOVERNMENT and ENVIRONMENT

ENVIRONMENT:  NOT YET READY FOR ALTERNATIVE ENERGY

Waiting for wind power?  Don’t, because it’s not going to happen.  So far we’ve subsidized wind power research to the tune of $24BILLION, and have not yet replaced one conventional power plant with the technology.  Nor will we.  One reason may be that it would take an area of 300 square miles (THAT’S SEVENTY-TWO THOUSAND ACRES) to equal the electricity produced by one conventional plant on only a few hundred acres.  Of course this would have to be built where the wind blows.  Then of course wind generators only work about 30% of the time, and their maintenance is VERY expensive.  And then the power must be transported/distributed to where it’s needed by an infrastructure of expensive and ugly towers/wire, all the while making noise that you wouldn’t believe, killing birds at a rate

ETHICS ISSUES: IMMIGRATION

ETHICS and IMMIGRATION

Our nation has a system of constitutional law in effect, a system that would work well if only the laws already on the books were enforced.  Immigration is a current issue only because those laws were not and are not enforced; politics being the reason.  This is the fault of the federal government—not the border states (the problem being at its worst along the Mexican border).  If politicians did their job and truly represented those who voted them in, things would be better.  Politics is the problem, because politics is largely unethical.  That’s the way it is.  That’s the way we’ve made it.  That’s not the way it should be.

Citizenship is not a civil right.  It must be earned and there are enabling rules in place.  The system had worked for well over 100 years; millions of
