THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY
Still think he doesn’t know what he’s doing? Forget it.
Donald Trump was solely responsible for his election. He won by being unconventional, to understate the case. He was all over the place, both physically and vociferously. The ‘mainstream media’ were entirely against him, preparing the presidency for Hillary Clinton. Trump was dismissed as a wild card (literally).
Nevertheless, he ate his way through 15 other applicants for the nomination. He did this without the media. He did this by himself and with the proletariat. Then he proceeded to defeat Clinton in the Electoral College, despite all predictions that the task was demonstrably impossible. How did he succeed?
He succeeded by writing off the media and doing it his way. His way was to use the internet, not the mainstream, to spread his word. He held off the mainstream by making extraordinary, even (to some) preposterous statements while fostering animosity among the opposition, that diverted the media to ‘proving’ how ludicrous his ideas were. He exaggerated facts (now referred-to as ‘alternate facts’) and overstated claims, suckering the media into concentrating on useless matters and ignoring what he was instead doing, which was speaking directly to the public who, being disenchanted with the establishment, had ceased listening to the media. His venues were planned, not random. He knew exactly what he was doing and he did it. His way. And he won.
And now we have a new President. And an unusually competent cabinet that will not rubber-stamp his agenda but will instead make it stronger. He has accomplished more in his initial week than almost any president in recent history, standing by the promises he made during his tumultuous run. The opposition has not yet recovered.
Will he succeed? Only time will tell, but hopes are high at this point. We’ll continue to monitor the situation…
